ADVE2291 Design Lab 1: Project 2 Illustrator Techniques
For this project, we honed our Adobe illustrator skills with some practice by recreating the Coca-Cola logo. Then we put our skills to the test by creating a pattern using illustrations we created.
Illustrator Techniques
To start out I loaded the image for tracing, sampled colors, and created a few swatches.
Visual Exploration: Pattern Design
In order to get the juices flowing I looked up some examples on pattern design.
After deciding on a summer theme, the first thing to do was to sketch some objects. I ended up wanting to be more specific and went with a strictly beach theme.
After sketching some ideas, I created vector art in Illustrator and created some patterns.
Creating a Presentation Board
After finishing up my final designs, the final step was to create a presentation board using Adobe InDesign.
