columbus is a long-established, internationally active cleaning machine manufacturer based in Stuttgart, Germany. The brand is known for the extremely high quality and durability of its machines. On the basis of the archetypal brand positioning, the challenge for the new brand image was to transfer the well-known strengths into a modern, attractive and self-confident form of expression, that gives the brand more innovative content. The new corporate design deliberately works with expressive application worlds, striking typography and iconography, an independent visual language and a very concise colour theme. This sharpens the image of an internationally leading brand that courageously questions the status quo and promotes targeted solutions. At the same time, the modified claim “Clean Quality” elevates the promise of purity to a brand principle that ranges from product development to service. The new appearance covers all relevant communication media (business equipment, website, trade fair presentation, etc.).
