[Student Project]

Objective:

To design an exhibition about whales’ lives and to explore how graphic design might be used to let more people understand "whale fall," and how important whales are through the whole ecosystem.

Approach:

Whale fall is the carcass of a cetacean that has fallen into the bathyal or abyssal zone on the ocean floor and supplies sustenance to deep-sea organisms for decades. That is one way whales play a big roll in the ocean ecosystem. In order to convey the information, all the graphics are clear and simple. The design helps make audiences interested in the exhibition from the outdoor signage, the wayfinding to the exhibition itself.
