These textile shuttles were part of a small, self-initiated project I undertook for a friend's birthday who studies textile design.
The simple design was hand fabricated, made out of teak and rosewood.
My friend's name is Isha, and so I decided to inlay an 'i' into one of the shuttles. The rosewood inlay is a nice contrast to the brown of the teak.
This shuttle was slightly thicker and so I added a groove so that the thread that is wrapped around it wont add to the thickness.
