THE TRIP. IUAV IN TRANSIT.
"How fast are you able to walk? On the route from your home to the IUAV headquarters how far would you be able to travel in just 19 days and 19 nights at that speed? What is the exact route you should take on this journey? are the most relevant places you would find along the way to rest, eat, sleep and get basic services? Who would you walk this walk with or who you might meet along the way? Can we create a temporary community with other travelers? How long should these last community?
"The Trip" will seek to discover alternatives for millions of refugees and immigrants around the world who today seek a safe return to their homes, while recolonizing cities, repopulating public space and resuming habits, with the precaution of being "together, but not mixed ".
Travel plan
We will plan a virtual trip, even if it is as real as possible. The origin will be our home; the arrival will be Santa Marta in Venice. We will have an individual experience that will try to modify the collective experience through known urban paths, which were practically abandoned during the entire pandemic.

We will make a total map containing all the individual routes of the WS members, from the starting points to the common destination, considering a travel time of 19 days and 19 nights, defining stages, stops and points of interest.

In this journey, what minimal infrastructure, capable of being transported, built and dismantled by us, would we need to connect with others and to transform the territory and build a temporary community?
An answer that promotes being together on the outside but in isolation.
An answer that creates a new nomadic society that travels through the country with its architecture in tow, with the aim of temporarily repopulating its territory while the world recovers its long-awaited normality.

Once finished, we will take an exit to the street; we will go out very carefully and put our portable shelter to the test. Each, according to their possibilities and without taking unnecessary risks, will make a video of the behavior of their exercise and, in parallel, will plan together with other travelers, possible communities to give an answer to life on the move. "

My task together with three other companions was to take care of the social and explanatory part of the course. In addition to having to take care of the instagram account of the workshop we had to create a general presentation that explained the course with a video of about 1min attached, for the jury, who should have seen and evaluated the project.
