I am an Illustration student at Columbus College of Art and Design. The project deliverables were to redraw the Coca-Cola logo and to create two original patterns. While completing this project I learned how to create patterns in Illustrator. I am pretty well versed with Indesign, however I got more practice with designing presentation boards. 

My first step towards recreating the Coca-Cola logo was to sample the colors from the reference image. I did this with the eye-dropper tool and simply added the colors to my swatches panel.

After re-drawing the logo I am just filling it in with the appropriate colors and a gradient.
