ADVE2291 DESIGN LAB 1: Project 2 Illustrator Techniques
Here I used Adobe Illustrator to recreate the Coca Cola logo in order to practice usage of the tools of the program. I recreated the background circle with a gradient included, I recreated the text of the logo, and I revamped the text of the trademark. I also created two alternately colored versions. I did not learn anything entirely new, but I did get more practice in how to properly use the pen tool and manage the paths that made up the text of the logo.
Illustrator Techniques:
In this step, I created my color swatches.
In this step, I am using the pen tool to create the paths of the logo's text.
In this step, I have successfully created the paths for most of the logo.
In this step, I have completed the paths for the logo, and colored it the Coke red hue.
In this step, I have completed everything: the logo's text, the gradient circle behind it, and the trademark text.
In this step, I have swapped the colors to make an alternate second version.
Visual Exploration: Pattern Design
Here I am looking into pattern designs made by other people with similar themes to what I am planning for mine to use as inspiration for my own.
Rough Sketches: Pattern Design
Here I have made some rough sketches of potential ideas for my pattern designs, which I planned to have an autumn or Halloween theme for. I ultimately ended up choosing the one on the top left.
