Brief
This is my masters studio project called Crisis Management. The task was to pick a rising crises from your country in the last 30 years and work towards a design that helps with the crisis. We as a team picked the case of air toxicity that is taking over Pakistan in recent times.
Challenges
1) Getting in touch with people from Germany to Pakistan during Covid-19
2) Ignorant behavior towards the environment
3) Energy wasting infrastructure
4) Miss information by the Government
5) Constant awareness of the situation using the power of experience for understanding
Learning-s
As we talked to top environmentalists, waste management heads,product designers and civilians we found out that the there is a serious lack of environmental consciousness among the people. We decided to talk to moms/house wives as they are the main source of learning for a growing child and management of living spaces, as dads are always at work. So if we could keep the mom's and other relevant people updated on the rising smog levels even when they could not see it with their bare eyes, that would mean they would be more aware of the situation outside and can
a) Plan their day or the day of their loved ones around the toxicity levels
b) Recognize the problem and educate their young and piers about it
c) Manage the disaster
