Black Desert Burrito Co

Black Desert Burrito Co. is a brand new food truck (okay trailer, but it's basically the same thing) that will be around Schuylkill County and other areas in Northeast Pennsylvania! I had the pleasure of working very closely with the owner Joe and gave him his vision and then some! All the little details are parts of who he is and his past. It was the most fun I've had at my current job and by far my favorite piece from that body of work.
His logo was a simple silhouette until I was able to flesh it out more and now this cowboy really feels alive! The number represents the local area code and there's a specific reason he's riding a dirt bike. A big hobby in the Coal Region is riding off-road vehicles on the coal hills left behind from the mines and that's one of the places Joe will be selling his food!

The "mountains" seen in the art are actually based off of real existing coal hills in the area. They were made to look like mountains to make it feel like a rocky western desert as well as to represent Joe's interest in snowboarding, which he pursued while living in California.
The "wolf" in the images above and below is to honor his good friend's wolf-dog that recently passed away. Another significant element is the treasure trove of crystals in the background, as Joe's hobby is digging for and collecting similar treasures!
