Vertrauen house was designed for an international pilot living in Fargo. She requested that the house be designed around a song and the confidence that song gives her in dealing with new situations. The desing boldy addresses the public by stepping towards the street in a tall, copper clad gesture, while the smoothness of the melody is evident in the spatial relationships and movement through the house. The bouncing descant is related through the details in window mullions.
