Located on the wooded slopes of the hills that embrace the city of Turin, Italy, stands the historic Villa Altissimo.

The Hill of the Art competition proposed to restore the value of the Villa Altissimo, by transforming it into a place of rest for artists and where art lovers can have unique experiences related to art.
Every inch of the walls of Villa Altissimo cries out to tell its story... We listened to them and developed the program, the spaces and the aesthetics as a result of this dialogue.
Gentle modifications were created, not to compete with what already resides there, but to humbly seek to accompany existing constructions in scale and aesthetic character. These modifications present a uniform architectural expression that gives unity to the whole project.
The importance of the passage of time and the history of the place wanted to be honored. In response, the project prioritizes the maximum preservation of the buildings, restores the architecture and adapts itself respectfully to the particularities of each of its spaces.
We proposed a program divided into three areas intended to offer unique experiences:

- Sensory: South House (Reception / Gallery) and Plinth (Restaurant / Wellness Area).
- Resting: Villa Altissimo Hotel.
- Artistic: Inside and on the Hill (art workshops, theater, pods and artist cabains).

The connection point between these areas is the Central Plaza, located where the old water well used to reside.
Don't hesitate to give us your feedback.. thanks for watching!
