Paper Dolls | Moda de Subculturas

Em 2019 tive o prazer de ilustrar para o fanzine comemorativo do 10º aniversário do blog Moda de Subculturas.

O blog foi criado em 2009 pelas amigas Sana Skull e Lauren Scheffel como meio de suprir a ausência de um veículo virtual brasileiro que tratasse de subculturas e moda alternativa com maior profundidade. Com o tempo, tornou-se referência nacional e passou a exercer influência no meio alternativo.

Neste fanzine, a autora Sana Skull traz um pouco da história das bonecas de vestir (ou paper dolls) e três modelos de bonecas para o leitor recortar e vestir: uma inspirada no estilo Kinderwhore (feita pela artista Raquel Hubner), uma inspirada pela subcultura gótica e outra pela subcultura punk (ambas feitas por mim!).

O objetivo era criar bonecas de corpos e etnias diversos e que pudessem servir de material inédito e educativo, abrindo espaço para discutir sobre tolerância e diversidade - inclusive com crianças.

In 2019, I had the pleasure to illustrate the special fanzine for the 10th anniversary of the blog Moda de Subculturas.

The blog was created in 2009 by friends Sana Skull and Lauren Scheffel as a way to supply the lack of brazillian websites that talked about subcultres and alternative fashion in greater depth. In the mean time, it became a national referenece and began to influence the alternative scene.

For this fanzine, author Sana Skull talks a little about the history of paper dolls and shows three models of dolls for the reader to cut and play with: one inspired by the Kinderwhore style (made by artist Raquel Hubner), one inspired by the Goth subculture and other by the Punk subculture (both made by me!).

The goal was to create dolls with diverse bodies and ethnicities that could serve as a brand new educational material, opening space for debating tolerance and diversity - including with children.
