Seagulls descended (Tel-Aviv)

Seagulls descended (Tel-Aviv)

Explication

“When you sit in an ulpan, but you want to go to the sea. And so that more gulls, shells and this sand, and Tel Aviv are so white ... "
(from an imaginary diary in Hebrew).

The installation uses the image of birds as substances, elements. Birds are a metaphor for movement and stopping, relationships and emotions. They are so minimalistic that they come close to abstraction. A flock, a swarm, flies from all sides and is chaotic and coordinated at the same time. At the same time, we see sketches (graphic sheets) and finished paintings on canvas and stone tiles. Different materials create a contrast with the image of light, flying birds and with the idea of changing life circumstances and impressions, the absence of any stability and support in the search for peace of mind.

Installation (recording of seagulls screamspaper, canvas, 50x50 ceramic tile, acrylic, stones, shell, household rubbish from the beach in Tel Aviv)
